abstract = "Most processes with complex dynamics in space physics are related
to the mechanism of turbulence. We present a new method (the
MS-space) to characterize the underlying energy cascade in p-model
turbulent processes. From the analysis of fluctuations using both
multifractal and nongaussian scaling exponents we show that it is
possible to build the MS-space where the central area represents a
homogeneous energy cascade (h-region). Examples of deviations from
the h-region indicate a non-homogeneous energy cascade. Density
fluctuations analysis in the ionosphere, solar corona and galactic
fields are shown as striking examples.",
